It’s the age of Internet.  Not just that.  We are in a mobile era.  While the technology industry keeps spawning newer and newer ways to help technological entanglements in our lives, what we need to reflect upon is how this ‘bit-and-byte’ race is affecting our consciousness.  Worse, what is this doing to our future generations?  Albert Einstein is also quoted to have said about our scientific advancement in general, “Why does this magnificent applied science, which saves work and makes life easier, bring us little happiness? The simple answer runs: because we have not yet learned to make sensible use of it.”

No scientific or technological advancement makes sense unless we use it for real benefit of human society.   More importantly, we must understand and respect the energy matrix and its creator-cum-Owner.  Unless we do this, we will always misuse our advancements and the result will be “smart phones and dumb people”

We have so many schools, colleges and universities across the globe today which teach so many subjects and conduct cutting-edge technology research in so many areas – from medicine to outer-space , from bio-technology to  nano-technology.  We have invested billions of dollars in setting up top notch infrastructures to study everything material, everything related to this external body.  Where is the study of the inner-space!??  The sad truth is that there is no concerted effort to study the real nature of our spirit – our real position.  This is the blunder of our societal setup and civilization.

Srila Prabhupada says, “They are enamored by the glimmering manifestation of the cosmic body or the individual body, but they do not try to understand the basic principles of this glimmering situation. The body looks very beautiful working with full energy and exhibiting great traits of talent and wonderful brain work. But as soon as the soul goes away from the body, all this glimmering situation of the body becomes useless. Even the great scientists who have discovered many wonderful scientific contributions could not trace out about the personal self, which is the cause of such wonderful discoveries. In the book, Journey to Self Discovery by Srila Prabhupada, the noted physicist Gregory Benford, was told “We don’t say that scientific knowledge is useless. Mechanics, electronics—this is also knowledge…. But the central point is ātma-jñāna—self-knowledge, knowledge of the soul.”

In particle physics, we have extensive research and many papers published in relation to two types of energies – material and anti-material.  Since this world is embedded with duality, any matter should have corresponding anti-matter.   We have seen modern science invest billions of dollars to investigate this anti-matter (CERN).  While modern science is not yet (and never will be) able to isolate the “God particle”, this anti-matter energy has been vividly explained in scriptures.  The Bhagavad Gita says very clearly that this anti-matter particle is within our material body.  Because of the presence of this anti-material particle, the material body is progressively changing from childhood to boyhood, from boyhood to youth to old age, after which the anti-material particle leaves the old, unworkable material body and takes up another material body.

This proves that the anti-material particle is undoubtedly superior to the material body.

Just like material particle belongs to and needs a material environment, the anti-material particle originally belongs to and needs an anti-material world to thrive!  Wow! this is interesting!  Again, there is evidence in scriptures of this anti-material world, and in addition, information is given that in the anti-material world there is no “seasonal” fluctuation. Everything there is permanent, blissful, and full of knowledge. But when we speak of it as a “world,” we must remember that it has forms and paraphernalia of various categories beyond our material experiences.  (Excerpts from the book Journey to Self Discovery)

This brings us to the fundamental question – how can such a creative setup work in synchrony without direction of a superior brain?  A modernized, up-to-date state is sustained by so many scientific arrangements which are completed by so many scientific brains. So who is this Person with the unimaginable Superior Brain?  Where is He?!
